Cape Town really is an interesting place, you'll drive along one section and the sun is out with blue skies and a few miles away the weather is completely different. This happened this weekend, filled up the beast and decided to go burn some fuel around the peninsula. The weather was fantastic along the camps bay/llandudno stretch but then turned all stormy and gloomy when I headed out to chapmans peak.
Either way, I managed to piss off a couple more cyclists and some aunty in a clio really didn't appreciate my overtaking maneuver. Not that I pulled a dangerous stunt, I think she was startled when she heard me pull through at full boost and started going crazy with hand gestures...haha.
I am sorry whoever you are, but I would do it again hehe...
Anyway, two places I have to visit soon;
1. Gaylords in Fishhoek, name sounds dodgy but I've heard they make some great indian food, one of my colleagues also wants to check it out so hopefully I can provide some feedback soon. I looove Indian food...
2. The Tibetan tea garden in Simons town, it's up on a hill and looks interesting too. There's also what looks like an art gallery next to it, so I can partake in some exotic tea and peruse some original art. This culture thing is really Kief!
Ah, so where was I...Cape Town really is a great place. Sun burning my face, cruising down the coast, people taking pics of a whale, regattas on the bay, skinny pale tourists (who look like me), forgotten roads to nowhere, pretty women in bikinis, kids in the back of a car waving and pointing at me, beautiful old houses whispering their stories to the wind. If I ever leave I'll miss this place terribly.
Here are some pics, promise I'll try keep the blog updated. Just haven't had time lately.
